Storyline: 4 Stars
Time loops! I’ve read a few time loop-type books, but this one was well-written and everything came together at the end. There were a few things left open ended . . . Like what happened to the father in the end? Looking back, not everything makes complete sense, but I appreciate how it mostly made sense. Whenever there are time-loops, there is always something to criticise. However, compared to a lot of other time-loops that I have read, it was pretty good. Yes, I figured out quite a bit of the book out before it happened (like who people were and what they did in the past), but there were small twists and turns that I was not expecting.
I think the main message of the book was life goes fast, everything causes something, and things are not always as they seem.

Wrong Place Wrong Time is definitely geared towards adults, although outside of swearing there was not much for adult content. There was a little kissing, but not any intimate scenes. There was mention of “s*x” by some of the main married characters.
There were swear words, although “f*ck” which was more frequent than most books. I would say there was a sweat word every 2-3 pages on average. If the swearing is something that bothers you, then I wouldn’t recommend the book. If swearing isn’t as big of a deal and inappropriate scenes are, than the book is probably a good choice.
There was violence, especially because the book revolves around a murder. The scene is not very graphic and doesn’t last long. However, outside of the murderer there is not much for violence.

*Spoilers Ahead*
Yeah, there were things that did not work perfectly because of the time loop. For example, what happened to the lawyer father? Did he continue taking part in the crimes? Was he ever found? That really bothered me when the book was over because the original time line stopped the father from committing further crimes.
I’m going to be honest, I knew that Ryan was Kelly almost right away. There was not much of a twist for me that was revealed, but I was still interested to find out what happened even though I already knew that.
I know it’s not a book with much substance outside of the thrill, but I still wonder how the time loop was stopped and how everything was exactly the same? Or did the memories change? For example, Kelly isn’t around his family in the first time line, but in the fixed time line he is not undercover so they would know his family and former friends. Did that change the time line at all?
Time loops are really fun, but they get messy. There are always going to be plot holes that don’t make sense, especially since everyone’s time loop rules are different. If you can look past those loop holes, then it was an intriguing book!
